Privacy Notice.

This notice explains how Solo Property Solutions (“Solo”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing inventory, property management, maintenance and related services in Jersey, Channel Islands.
We process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and the Data Protection Authority (Jersey) Law 2018. The regulator for data protection in Jersey is the Office of the Information Commissioner Jersey (JOIC).

2. What personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity & contact: name, email address, phone number, postal/property address.
- Property data: property addresses, descriptions, photographs and condition notes captured for inventory and maintenance reports.
- Tenancy data: tenant references where you are a landlord client; landlord/agent details where you are a tenant client.
- Financial data: billing details and limited payment information needed to invoice and reconcile services.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage analytics if you accept optional cookies (see our Cookies Notice).
3. Why we use your data (lawful basis)

4. Who we share your data with
- Landlords, tenants and managing agents who are party to the relevant tenancy or report.
- Approved sub-contractors (e.g. electricians, plumbers, roofing trades) only with what they need to attend a job.
- Jersey deposit scheme (mydeposits Jersey) and the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner where required.
- Service providers who host our website and store reports on our behalf (Vercel, Neon, Vercel Blob) — all subject to appropriate safeguards.
- Professional advisors (accountants, legal advisors) where reasonably necessary.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside Jersey (typically in the EEA, UK or USA). Where personal data leaves Jersey we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to keep your data protected to the standard required by Jersey law.
6. How long we keep your data
- Inventory and tenancy records: typically 7 years from the end of the relevant tenancy, in line with industry practice and potential deposit-dispute timeframes.
- Accounting records: 6 years, as required by Jersey tax authorities.
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a contract: up to 24 months.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
Under Jersey data protection law you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Ask us to erase your data where there is no overriding legal reason to keep it;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis;
- Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format.

8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner Jersey: jerseyoic.org.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the site banner or by email where appropriate.
